PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stinky Armpits (ranked 632 p4p, 2654 weight class) and Jack Horvat (ranked 101 p4p, 370 weight class). Armpits comes into the arena with Side to Side blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horvat throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Armpits on the side of the head.
Jack Horvat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Armpits scores with a head kick.
A jab from Armpits finds it's way through Horvat's defenses.

Horvat throws a lazy uppercut
and Armpits counters with a good low kick that Horvat was not able to check.
Armpits stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Horvat.

Horvat fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Armpits on the side of the head.
Armpits misses with a hook. Horvat ducked under it nicely.

Horvat shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Armpits is trying to defend but Horvat finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Armpits has one foot on Horvat's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Horvat has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Horvat sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Armpits's guard.

Horvat is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Armpits is just riding it out for now. Horvat eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Horvat is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Armpits doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Horvat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Armpits is looking for a sweep. Horvat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Horvat is pressing down on Armpits's thigh, looking to free his foot. Armpits is holding on for now.
Armpits keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Horvat thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Armpits's head.

Horvat is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Armpits defends it well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Armpits has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Horvat has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Horvat lands a nice looking kick to the body. Armpits takes a step back to recover.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Horvat throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Armpits throws an overhand right that lands on Horvat's shoulder, as Horvat tries to avoid the shot.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Horvat, as that shot connected.

Horvat tries to bum rush Armpits with a series of wild strikes but Armpits uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Armpits fires out a quick counter leg kick but Horvat just manages to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Armpits. That snapped Horvat's head back.

Armpits lands with a big right hook that stumbles Horvat - he's out on his feet here! Armpits follows up with another monster hook that separates Horvat from consciousness! Horvat falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Armpits stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Stinky Armpits tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
