Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Sepi (ranked 1401 p4p, 2445 weight class) and Alistair Ubereem (ranked 15 p4p, 76 weight class). Alistair Ubereem has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Sepi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alistair Ubereem!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ubereem gets caught napping as Sepi dives in and scores a takedown. Ubereem manages to retain guard.
Ubereem wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sepi manages to pass to side control.

Sepi is looking to advance position but Ubereem won't allow it.

Sepi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sepi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sepi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ubereem has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ubereem!

Sepi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ubereem stacks Sepi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ubereem!

Sepi is looking to regain half guard here but Ubereem keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sepi is looking to improve his position.
Sepi won't allow Ubereem to pass to mount.
Ubereem is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sepi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sepi.

Sepi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ubereem stopping the sweep attempt from Sepi.
Ubereem slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sepi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ubereem counters with a nice uppercut.
Ubereem throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ubereem throws a body shot but no joy.
Seppo Sepi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sepi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ubereem counters with a right hand to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sepi shoots for a takedown but Ubereem saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sepi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seppo Sepi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ubereem gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sepi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ubereem is trying to hold Sepi in close to prevent damage but Sepi has managed to pass into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Alistair Ubereem will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sepi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ubereem slaps away a takedown attempt from Sepi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sepi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ubereem pinned against the cage. Ubereem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seppo Sepi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ubereem misses with a looping right.

and Ubereem counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sepi throws a body punch but Ubereem moves out of range.

Sepi shoots in looking for a takedown. Ubereem tries to sprawl out of it but Sepi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ubereem manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A jab from Ubereem misses.
Sepi goes for a double leg but Ubereem avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ubereem continues to drive forward.

Sepi scores with a shoulder strike.
Ubereem misses with a hook from the clinch.
Ubereem misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ubereem lands with a short shot to the head.

Ubereem is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sepi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ubereem to the mat. Ubereem regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Seppo Sepi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ubereem tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sepi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ubereem is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ubereem has escaped and now he's on top!

Ubereem trying to control the position from guard on top but Sepi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ubereem has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sepi is proving hard to escape from.

Sepi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sepi keeping full guard, as Ubereem tries to pass.

Sepi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ubereem escapes and throws Sepi's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ubereem remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Sepi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ubereem.
Sepi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sepi is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ubereem off and has taken his back!

Sepi working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Ubereem is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Sepi has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Ubereem taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Seppo Sepi!
After winning the bout, Seppo Sepi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
