PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rogga Polis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shogun Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polis has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley lands a head shot.
Daley moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Polis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daley as he jumps to the side.
Daley throws a head kick but Polis moves out of range.
Daley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Daley throws a sloppy head kick and Polis moves out of range easily.
Daley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Daley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Polis on the side of the head.

Daley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Polis throws out the jab.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Daley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Polis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
