The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
O Malley dips to his left and cracks Silva with an uppercut!
O Malley bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but O Malley sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.
Good standup being displayed there by O Malley as he connects with a hook.
O Malley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
A little feinted left hand from O Malley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shane O Malley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Silva.

Silva tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Silva drops his hands momentarily and O Malley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Silva gets tackled into the cage by O Malley. O Malley maintains the clinch.

It looks like Thor Silva has been cut.

O Malley lands an elbow that stopped Silva in his tracks for a moment.
Silva is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but O Malley is defending well.
Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. O Malley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

O Malley seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. O Malley fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around O Malley's waist but O Malley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
