The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponziabo ducks under a wild hook from Chin Strip.
Ponziabo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ponziabo slips under a jab from Chin Strip.
Chin Strip lands a glancing blow to the side of Ponziabo's head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Chin Strip. Ponziabo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ponziabo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chin Strip defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ponziabo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ponziabo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chin Strip, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ponziabo has hold of Chin Strip's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Chin Strip tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ponziabo cranks the arm and Chin Strip screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Chin Strip, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

A relieved looking Santiago Ponziabo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
