Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Raymond Mboya (ranked 24126 p4p, 2336 weight class) and Keke Sonni (ranked 654 p4p, 264 weight class). Sonni has chosen Lil Uzi Vert - That Way as his entrance music. Raymond Mboya has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keke Sonni!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mboya is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sonni.
Sonni connects with a leg kick.
Sonni misses the jab.

Mboya uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sonni.
We've been informed that Sonni has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Raymond Mboya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mboya looks for the body kick but Sonni saw that one coming.
Sonni missing with a left hand there. Mboya was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nice uppercut lands for Mboya. That snapped Sonni's head back.

Mboya throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sonni sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mboya takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Sonni throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mboya ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sonni moves away.

Sonni uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mboya.

Sonni throws a lazy right hand but Mboya sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A head kick from Mboya lands but Sonni takes it in his stride.
Sonni changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sonni pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sonni dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mboya. That did some damage!

Sonni connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sonni looks to land a right hand but Mboya moved out of range.
Sonni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mboya was well out of range. Poor timing from Sonni.
Mboya smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mboya darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mboya pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mboya backing away here, and Sonni unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Mboya lands a head kick that bluckles Sonni and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Mboya no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Sonni seems to have recovered his senses.
Sonni scores with a jab. Mboya acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Raymond Mboya will probably get the nod.

Mboya throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Sonni counters with a perfect left hook, dropping Mboya to the canvas. He tries to get back up quickly but his equilibrium is all over the place! He's up... he's back down again! There's no need for a count as the referee calls off the bout!
