Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kon Kojuro (ranked 5288 p4p, 4672 weight class) and Tahboule Alawi (ranked 432 p4p, 412 weight class). Kojuro comes to the cage accompanied by Love Missile F1-11. Alawi has chosen The Ruler of Everything as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kon Kojuro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tahboule Alawi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kojuro's corner calls for a 1-2. Kojuro obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Alawi dives in for a single leg takedown but Kojuro sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Kojuro counters with a nice uppercut.
Kojuro cracks Alawi with an open hand slap.
Alawi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Alawi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kon Kojuro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tahboule Alawi.

Alawi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kojuro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alawi somewhat.
Kojuro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kojuro.

Alawi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kojuro defends well and Alawi ends up having to push Kojuro into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kojuro lunges at Alawi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alawi's hand.

Kon Kojuro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alawi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kojuro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Alawi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kojuro but Kojuro pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Alawi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kojuro tries to avoid it but Alawi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kojuro to the ground. Kojuro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Alawi looks for a takedown but Kojuro sprawls well.

Kojuro's jab looks to have found its range, popping Alawi under the eye.
Alawi shoots in but Kojuro avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Alawi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kojuro sprawls well. Kojuro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alawi gets slowly back to his feet.

Kojuro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alawi can do to turn this around?
Kojuro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kojuro wants it to stay on the feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Alawi or perhaps it was just good defense by Kojuro, which made it look bad.
