The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zaitsev looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Carvalho!
Carvalho wants to get back to his feet but Zaitsev is dominant here and he's now got Carvalho's back!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Zaitsev punches Carvalho on the ear.
Carvalho grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Well, with Zaitsev on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Carvalho is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Carvalho wants to get back to his feet.
Zaitsev is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Carvalho. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Carvalho is trying to get back to his feet but Zaitsev has full control of the position and if anything, Carvalho has just worked his way into a worse spot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaitsev lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Zaitsev.

Zaitsev lands a good shot there. Carvalho covers up! Zaitsev smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Carvalho to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Zaitsev jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
