Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kwame Bankole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dustinick Cruzier!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bankole dodges the punch combination from Cruzier.
Cruzier looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cruzier stalks Bankole and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bankole's face. Bankole staggers backwards, shaken.
Cruzier swinging wildly here.
Sloppy strikes from Cruzier. Those never looked like landing.
Cruzier defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bankole.
No joy there for Cruzier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dustinick Cruzier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bankole tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bankole moves in looking to clinch but Cruzier pushes him off.
Cruzier throws a series of punches but Bankole moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bankole shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bankole was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cruzier tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
BOOM! Bankole connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cruzier in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cruzier can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bankole working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Cruzier turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bankole off and cradles Cruzier's limp body as Bankole celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Kwame Bankole!
