Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Camden Raynard!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raynard drives through and clinches with Lewis against the cage.

Raynard breaks the clinch.

Raynard clinches.
Raynard wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Raynard just stands there and leans against the cage.

Raynard breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Raynard moves into range and clinches up with Lewis.
Lewis jumps guard but Raynard stands there with Lewis around his waist. Lewis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Raynard wants to break the clinch but can't.

Raynard breaks from the clinch.
Lewis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Raynard looks to land a combination. Lewis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Raynard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Raynard wants it to stay on the feet.
Raynard is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Lewis tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lewis dives in and grabs Raynard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Raynard pushes down on Lewis's head and hops out.

Lewis attempts a counter takedown but Raynard avoids it well and moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Raynard. Lewis does a little dance to reset his feet.

Lewis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Raynard finds it's way round the side to connect with Lewis's head.

Raynard throws a chopping leg kick but Lewis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Good exchange - Raynard coming out on top.
Lewis shoots in but Raynard avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Raynard tries to bum rush Lewis with a series of wild strikes but Lewis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lewis shoots for a double leg takedown but Raynard sprawls well. He's pushed Lewis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Raynard has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lewis fails to pull guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Raynard lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Raynard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Raynard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lewis goes for a double leg but Raynard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Raynard continues to drive forward.
Raynard manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Lewis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Raynard uses from the top position.

Lewis has his foot on Raynard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Raynard works his way back into a safe position though.

Lewis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Raynard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Raynard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Raynard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Raynard throws a series of strikes that have Lewis backpedaling.
Raynard has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lewis is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Raynard shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Raynard misses with a two punch combination.
Raynard throws a right and a left that Lewis avoids nicely.
Some bone on bone action there as Lewis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Raynard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
