The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kongo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Faria looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Faria stops Kongo from passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kongo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bruna Faria is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Faria suckers Kongo into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Faria is now in Kongo's guard!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruna Faria.
Well Faria has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
