Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 3 p4p, 6 weight class) and Giuseppe Hopkins (ranked 1 p4p, 2 weight class). Po comes into the arena with Muay Thai Music - Wai Khru Ram Muay blaring out of the sound system. Giuseppe Hopkins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Giuseppe Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Hopkins. That's going to slow Po down.
Po tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hopkins feints a counter leg kick.
Hopkins takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Po slips a jab and a cross from Hopkins.
Po throws a series of strikes that have Hopkins backpedaling.
Po takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Po fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hopkins manages to avoid it.
Giuseppe Hopkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A nice leg kick lands there from Hopkins.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hopkins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Po has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Po and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hopkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Po throws the left hand but Hopkins avoids the punch easily.
Po throws a sloppy head kick and Hopkins moves out of range easily.

Po rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hopkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Po circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hopkins drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Po follows Hopkins to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Tong Po thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
