Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kento Kawamata (ranked 1201 p4p, 1308 weight class) and Tank Ispa (ranked 174 p4p, 185 weight class). Kento Kawamata could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tank Ispa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Kento Kawamata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tank Ispa!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ispa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kawamata looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ispa staying out of range there.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ispa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Kento Kawamata will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Kawamata's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ispa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kawamata scrambles back to his feet.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ispa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ispa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kento Kawamata will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kawamata, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Kento Kawamata thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Tank Ispa was interviewed post fight and said 'Sorry guys, but this was my last fight. I'd like to personally thank my friends and family for putting up with my stupid ass while I trained for this. Thank you to my trainers for helping me become what I've become. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. '.
