Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lubov (ranked 4055 p4p, 5382 weight class) and Ryan Turnbull (ranked 549 p4p, 632 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Lubov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Turnbull!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Lubov. No joy for Turnbull on that attempt.
Turnbull takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lubov getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Turnbull tries for a takedown but Lubov circles away easily
and Lubov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turnbull is defended easily by Lubov.
Alexander Lubov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Turnbull.
Turnbull shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lubov defends it nicely.
Turnbull's coach down at Walter J Abramowitz Center for Bigness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turnbull's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lubov punishes Turnbull's body with a nice straight punch.
Lubov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Turnbull with a poor takedown
and Lubov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Ryan Turnbull has been cut.
Turnbull tries to clinch
and Lubov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Lubov sends Turnbull crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lubov is motioning to the referee to let Turnbull up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Turnbull is rocked!
Lubov finds Turnbull's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Turnbull flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Lubov lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Turnbull will be OK.
