and Champion connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Spong with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Champion to score with a decent uppercut.
Champion explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spong crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Champion - the referee stops the clock and Spong gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Champion. Spong manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Peoples Champion spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
