PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Won Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Brickhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Won Low!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Brickhead!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Low shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brickhead as he jumps to the side.

Low closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brickhead is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Low tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Brickhead is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Brickhead is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Low throws an elbow but Brickhead slips to the side and avoids it well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Brickhead tries to clinch up but Low circles away and keeps his distance.
Low gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Low tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brickhead swivels and escapes.
Brickhead swings for the body but Low moves out of range.
Low tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Low misses with a takedown attempt - Brickhead sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Won Low. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brickhead throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Won Low has been cut.
Brickhead scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Low is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A nice leg kick lands there from Brickhead.

Brickhead lands with a nice body punch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Brickhead darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Brickhead scores with a hook to the body. Low takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Brickhead ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Brickhead grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Low takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Brickhead cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
