Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Victor Fonseca (ranked 4618 p4p, 6960 weight class) and Yamaguchi Kyamimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamaguchi Kyamimoto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyamimoto dives in for a single leg takedown but Fonseca sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kyamimoto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kyamimoto shoots in looking for a takedown. Fonseca tries to sprawl out of it but Kyamimoto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fonseca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kyamimoto wants to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fonseca.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fonseca defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kyamimoto.
Victor Fonseca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yamaguchi Kyamimoto.

Kyamimoto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fonseca, pushing him back against the cage.
Fonseca trying to control the position but instead, Kyamimoto has worked for underhooks and has pushed Fonseca into the cage.

Fonseca has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kyamimoto is trying to keep an underhook but Fonseca manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Fonseca wants to control but Kyamimoto is keeping him busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kyamimoto is holding on to half guard well.
Kyamimoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fonseca. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fonseca prevents Kyamimoto from improving his position.
Fonseca content to control rather than advance.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Kyamimoto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Fonseca counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fonseca seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kyamimoto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kyamimoto wants to improve his position but Fonseca is controlling well.

Fonseca wants to pass the guard but Kyamimoto is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kyamimoto is staying active underneath Fonseca, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Fonseca in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kyamimoto tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Fonseca!
