The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamzatov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Skarsgard to the ground. Gamzatov is now in Skarsgard's guard.
Skarsgard pushes Gamzatov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Skarsgard misses with the body kick
and Gamzatov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Skarsgard!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skarsgard is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gamzatov in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Skarsgard is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

A determined Gamzat Gamzatov didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
