The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laroi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Valachi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Laroi somewhat.

Laroi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valachi's waist but Valachi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laroi off to one side.
Valachi unleashes a big counter combination but Laroi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Victor Valachi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laroi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valachi tries to avoid it but Laroi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valachi to the ground. Valachi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
