PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Del Dodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asuma Sarutobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Dodo comes to the cage accompanied by Out of my way. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Dodo tries to land a front kick but Sarutobi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Del Dodo throws a wild body kick that Sarutobi sees coming a mile off.
Sarutobi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Del Dodo but Del Dodo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sarutobi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Del Dodo tries to avoid it but Sarutobi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Del Dodo to the ground. Del Dodo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Del Dodo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sarutobi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Del Dodo.

Asuma Sarutobi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
