Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad Love (ranked 3903 p4p, 3314 weight class) and Danny Brooks (ranked 435 p4p, 370 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Danny Brooks was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Love throws a head kick but Brooks moves out of range.
Brooks drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Love defends it well.
Love moves into the clinch.
Love has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brooks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Brooks drops down looking for an ankle pick but Love pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brooks has closed the distance and engaged Love in a clinch.
Love really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Love gets to his feet. Brooks looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brooks has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Love after a bit of a struggle.

Love will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Brooks up against the cage.

Love manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Love is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Love escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brooks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brooks with a flurry of punches that miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Love has his foot on Brooks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brooks works his way back into a safe position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chad Love will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown attempt by Brooks or perhaps it was just good defense by Love, which made it look bad.

Chad Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Brooks.
