Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Kid Laroi (ranked 4561 p4p, 4578 weight class) and Yoel Gane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Laroi.
That kick from Gane tenderised Laroi's leg. Laroi is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gane lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Laroi on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gane blocks a head kick by Laroi.
Gane scores with a kick to the body.
A head kick from Gane lands but Laroi takes it in his stride.
Gane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gane pushes Laroi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Gane tries to sprawl but Laroi drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Gane manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Laroi keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

A head kick from Gane lands but Laroi takes it in his stride.

Gane lets loose with a powerful body kick. Laroi will feel that in the morning.

Laroi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gane was well out of range. Poor timing from Laroi.
A head kick from Gane lands but Laroi takes it in his stride.

Laroi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Gane scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Laroi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Laroi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gane's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Well, if Laroi is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laroi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Laroi.
Laroi seems to be working for a kimura but Gane defends the submission attempt.

Gane is trying to stand up here but Laroi is controlling him well.
Laroi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Laroi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Gane connects with a solid leg kick.
Gane throws a sloppy head kick and Laroi moves out of range easily.
Gane is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Laroi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gane's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gane wants to stand and escape but Laroi is having none of it.

Laroi is looking to pass into half guard but Gane pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gane is in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gane decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Yoel Gane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Gane.
Laroi dives in and scores a takedown into Gane's guard.

Gane turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Laroi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gane.
Laroi will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Gane pushes Laroi away with a front kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gane throws Laroi to one side and escapes!
Gane goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Gane has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Laroi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gane's waist but Gane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laroi off to one side.
The Kid Laroi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gane throws a leg kick which misses Laroi's front leg but catches the back leg as Laroi tries to avoid it.
Laroi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gane counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Gane avoids the head kick by Laroi.

Gane lands with a kick to the temple. Laroi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gane fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Laroi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Gane with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yoel Gane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Laroi on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gane gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laroi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gane is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Laroi presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Gane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Laroi moves out of range of the body kick from Gane.
Gane lands a head kick. Laroi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Gane throws a leg kick which misses Laroi's front leg but catches the back leg as Laroi tries to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laroi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gane could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Laroi has cracked it and Gane is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Laroi!
