And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Donovan Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tony Mancini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mancini looks for a takedown but Hughes sprawls well.

Mancini drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hughes pulls Mancini in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hughes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mancini is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hughes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mancini's back instead.

Hughes has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mancini's body.

Mancini looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hughes has picked Mancini up and slammed him! Mancini can't keep hold of the triangle and Hughes manages to pass to side control!

Mancini has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hughes is working away from the top position though.
Mancini is trying to stand.
Mancini is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hughes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mancini!

Hughes won't let Mancini get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Mancini's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Donovan Hughes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
