Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ziggy Stardust (ranked 230 p4p, 345 weight class) and Scooter Bob (ranked 30 p4p, 45 weight class). Stardust's entrance music is Starman. A fine choice. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ziggy Stardust!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scooter Bob!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Stardust tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bob was well out of range. Poor timing from Stardust.
It seemed like Bob was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Bob throws the left hand but Stardust avoids the punch easily.
Ziggy Stardust seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stardust throws a hook to the side of Bob's head but Bob sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little jabbing left from Bob on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Stardust bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stardust scores with a sloppy right hand. Bob should have avoided that one.
Bob uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stardust.
Stardust throws a lazy right hand but Bob sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've been informed that Bob has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Stardust lands a nice shot that snaps Bob's head back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stardust sets himself, and Bob steps forward looking for the clinch! Stardust avoids it this time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bob displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stardust throws out the jab.
Bob swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bob shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stardust, as that shot connected.
Stardust connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Bob takes one to the chin there.

Bob is rocked!
Good exchange - Bob coming out on top.
Bob is still on wobbly legs! Can Stardust finish him?
Stardust drops Bob with a straight right hand, right on the button! Stardust follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ziggy Stardust!
Ziggy Stardust retains his lightweight title!
An out of breath and clearly excited Ziggy Stardust thanked Brooklyn Apothecary for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
