Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor McCloud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres has chosen Liverpool's Number 9 as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCloud stuffs the takedown attempt from Torres. Torres gets slowly back to his feet.
McCloud wants to clinch.
McCloud moves into the clinch successfully.
Torres tries for a takedown. No joy.
McCloud stops a takedown attempt from Torres.
Connor McCloud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Torres.

Torres has McCloud pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McCloud manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
McCloud wants to get back to striking at distance but Torres won't allow it.

Torres goes for a takedown in the clinch but McCloud prevents it.

McCloud is trying to stall.
McCloud lands a right hand that snaps the head of Torres backwards.
McCloud swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Torres pulls guard effortlessly.
McCloud's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Torres is looking for a triangle but McCloud pushes his legs off easily.

McCloud controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
McCloud throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Torres works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Torres has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McCloud is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Torres.
Torres tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McCloud wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
McCloud remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McCloud's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

McCloud wants to stand but Torres is controlling his arm.

Torres is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McCloud off and has taken his back!

Torres is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! McCloud is tapping out! This one is all over!
