Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kai Perkins !
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Richter moves into the clinch successfully.
Richter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Perkins blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Richter lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Richter blocks an uppercut.
Perkins lands a hook to the side of the head.
Richter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Richter tries to close the distance and clinch but Perkins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Richter takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Richter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Richter moves in looking to clinch but Perkins pushes him off.
Perkins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Richter.
Perkins lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Perkins is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Perkins looks to land a combination but Richter avoids it well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Richter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Perkins .
Richter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Perkins counters with a straight right hand.

Perkins throws an overhand right that lands on Richter's shoulder, as Richter tries to avoid the shot.
Oh Richter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perkins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Richter has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Perkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Richter.
Richter tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Perkins is able to avoid easily.
Perkins lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Richter - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Perkins !

A very excited looking Kai Perkins made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
