The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maneno throws a predictable looking body shot
and Poggle counters with a straight right hand.
Maneno throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Poggle counter with a right hand.
Poggle takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Maneno misses the shot to the body.
Poggle swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Poggle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maneno swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Poggle was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Poggle misses with a body shot.
Chiku Maneno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poggle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Chiku Maneno has been cut.
Maneno swings for the body but Poggle moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maneno. Poggle does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maneno misses the body punch
and Poggle counters with a straight right hand.
Poggle scores with the left hand. Maneno knows he should have avoided that one.

Maneno is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maneno swings for the body but Poggle moves out of range.
Poggle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maneno.
An attempted straight right counter from Poggle misses the target.

Oooooh!!! Poggle has knocked Maneno down with a huge combo! Poggle steps away and waves a wobbly Maneno back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Maneno is still on wobbly legs! Can Poggle finish him?
Poggle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Poggle digs a good body shot into Maneno's ribs.
Maneno takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Maneno misses with a jab to the body
and Poggle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Maneno seems to have recovered his senses.
Maneno lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Poggle lands a big uppercut and Maneno crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Maneno looks OK. Poggle waves Maneno back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maneno misses with a right hand
and Poggle counters with a nice body shot.
Maneno looks winded!
Maneno swings for the body but Poggle moves out of range.
Poggle goes for a small jab and connects. Now Poggle goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Maneno stumbles back but Poggle runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Maneno to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Maneno will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
