Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quintet Tarantino (ranked 1019 p4p, 1386 weight class) and Jose Carvaleho (ranked 124 p4p, 177 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvaleho throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tarantino sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carvaleho throws out a loose jab but Tarantino uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carvaleho ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tarantino moves away.
Tarantino throws a body punch but Carvaleho moves out of range.
Tarantino avoids the body shot from Carvaleho.

Carvaleho closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tarantino has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Carvaleho regains guard immediately.
Carvaleho has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Kung Pao . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Carvaleho looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tarantino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carvaleho swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Tarantino's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Carvaleho can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tarantino controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tarantino drops back looking for a leg! Carvaleho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carvaleho manages to kick Tarantino off! Tarantino jumps back into Carvaleho's guard.
