Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rexob Boxer (ranked 4459 p4p, 6971 weight class) and Chris Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Young is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boxer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Young has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Young might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Boxer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boxer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Young.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Young can't break the clinch.
Boxer unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Young is breathing heavily.
Young takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Chris Young has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Young is trying to pull guard but Boxer has him pressed against the cage.
Young tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boxer smiles and moves away.

A slapping leg kick lands for Boxer.
Young throws a shot from downtown. Boxer moves away and avoids it.

Boxer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boxer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Young throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boxer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boxer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
