Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jewel Diaz (ranked 1067 p4p, 2286 weight class) and Rhondon Rousey (ranked 115 p4p, 239 weight class). Diaz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Killa Whale - Andre Nickatina. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousey doesn't manage to clinch there - Diaz circles away.

Diaz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rousey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is in Rousey's guard.

and Rousey counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jewel Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Rousey, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Rousey against the cage but Rousey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Jewel Diaz will probably get the nod.

Rousey has a hand on Diaz's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Diaz takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rousey looks a forlorn figure.
