PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Starling Silva (ranked 1110 p4p, 2027 weight class) and Jaden Saint (ranked 155 p4p, 286 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Starling Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaden Saint!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva blocks a low kick nicely.
A head kick misses from Saint.
Saint throws a right and a left that both miss.
Saint looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Saint lands with a good body shot.
Saint lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
Silva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Saint tries to land a front kick but Silva steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Silva rushes Saint and presses him up against the cage.
Saint tries to break free but Silva pushes him back against the cage.
Saint avoids the elbow strike from Silva, against the cage.
Silva gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva has Saint pressed against the cage, preventing Saint from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

It looks like Jaden Saint has been cut.
Saint takes an elbow to the forehead.
Silva can't find room to land a body shot as Saint controls the action.
Saint is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Saint breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Saint misses with a low kick.
Silva is looking to clinch.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saint swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Saint on the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Silva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Silva.
Saint misses with a lunging right hand
and Silva makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Saint lands the left hand.
Saint throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Saint scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Saint throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and moves out of range.

Silva walks into a big right hand from Saint and goes down! The referee sends Saint to a neutral corner as Silva gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saint tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Saint throws an overhand right that has Silva reeling! Saint follows up with more punches and Silva is out cold! This one is all over!

Jaden Saint decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
