The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Herberg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guerreiro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Guerreiro has his foot on Herberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Herberg works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Herberg is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Guerreiro has hold of Herberg's hands but Herberg slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Herberg winds up and cracks Guerreiro with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
