Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Shamrock (ranked 492 p4p, 1374 weight class) and J Gay G (ranked 69 p4p, 154 weight class). Shamrock's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, One Winged Angel by The Black Mages. Gay G has chosen Down as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Gay G. Shamrock does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gay G cracks a nice hook into Shamrock's ribs.
A jab lands there for Shamrock.
Gay G tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shamrock defends well and Gay G ends up having to push Shamrock into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Gay G ducks under a wild hook from Shamrock.
Gay G is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shamrock.

Shamrock swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gay G has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Shamrock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gay G dives in and grabs Shamrock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes down on Gay G's head and hops out.
Gay G is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Nick Shamrock tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
