Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rick Narcoleptic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Pouta!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouta misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Narcoleptic has Pouta up against the ropes in a clinch.
Narcoleptic looking for a takedown.

Narcoleptic turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Narcoleptic manages to end up in side control.

Pouta sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Pouta trying to control from the bottom.

Narcoleptic is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Pouta still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Pouta has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Narcoleptic wants to control but Pouta postures up.
Narcoleptic manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Narcoleptic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Narcoleptic.
Narcoleptic keeping moving, preventing Pouta from controlling successfully.
Pouta must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Narcoleptic has a closed guard, preventing Pouta from standing up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Narcoleptic is on top in guard.
Pouta seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Narcoleptic missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pouta controls Narcoleptic momentarily but Narcoleptic frees himself.
Pouta is pulling down on Narcoleptic's head. It's preventing any offense from Narcoleptic, at least for the moment.
Narcoleptic postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Narcoleptic drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pouta manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Narcoleptic has Pouta in his guard.
Pouta throws a big right hand that misses.

Narcoleptic has his foot on Pouta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pouta works his way back into a safe position though.
Narcoleptic is breathing heavily.

Narcoleptic has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Pouta doesn't defend quickly enough and Narcoleptic has managed to lock this one up! Can Pouta escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Narcoleptic on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rick Narcoleptic!
