Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garik Andonian (ranked 5581 p4p, 2698 weight class) and Willem Kriel (ranked 0 p4p, 351 weight class). Kriel has chosen Jack Parow & Freshlyground - Army Of One as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kriel fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Andonian.
Kriel has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Andonian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kriel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Andonian throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kriel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kriel cracks Andonian with an open hand slap.
Nice straight punches there by Kriel. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kriel.

As Kriel looks to move away, Andonian throws a big counter combo but Kriel just gets out of the way.
Willem Kriel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kriel throws a body kick that misses.
Kriel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kriel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Andonian lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kriel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Andonian wants to clinch.
Kriel is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Andonian had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Andonian throws a jab but it's blocked by Kriel.
Andonian lands a big uppercut and Kriel crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kriel looks OK. Andonian waves Kriel back to his feet!
Kriel is still on wobbly legs! Can Andonian finish him?
Andonian shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kriel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Andonian is looking for a counter combo.
Kriel seems to have recovered his senses.
Andonian lands a left and a right that send Kriel crashing to the mat, dazed. Andonian thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kriel ducks under a wild hook from Andonian.
A head kick by Andonian - that's a beauty! Kriel is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Andonian can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
