Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 2114 p4p, 2196 weight class) and Kasey McRobbie (ranked 275 p4p, 279 weight class). Cole's entrance music is I Won't Back Down. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Kasey McRobbie!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRobbie lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Michael Cole has been cut.
McRobbie swings widly with a right hand
and Cole connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A nice inside leg kick there by McRobbie. That's going to slow Cole down.
Cole looks to land a combination but McRobbie avoids it well.
McRobbie is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
The fighters circling - Cole throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A punch combination from McRobbie misses.
Cole takes one to the chin there.
McRobbie misses with a left hand
and Cole counters with a nice body shot.
Cole lands a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McRobbie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cole bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Michael Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cole jabs at McRobbie's body.
Cole misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cole lands with a thumping leg kick.
McRobbie misses with a straight left.
Cole moves out of range as McRobbie strikes.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cole or perhaps it was just good defense by McRobbie, which made it look bad.
McRobbie tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Cole misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McRobbie avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Cole lands a jab to the head.

Cole gets tackled into the cage by McRobbie. McRobbie maintains the clinch.
Cole gets through McRobbie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Cole scores with a nice short uppercut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McRobbie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Cole throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McRobbie looking to throw knees to the head but Cole is blocking nicely.
McRobbie looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Cole lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Cole lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nice strikes from Cole there.
Cole looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

McRobbie actively working from the bottom here.
Cole looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McRobbie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cole is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Cole lands with a punch from half guard.
McRobbie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cole scoring with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cole's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McRobbie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McRobbie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cole haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cole advances to half guard.
We've been hearing that Cole has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Cole passes to full mount!
Cole lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Cole wants to control the pace but McRobbie is squirming around nicely.
McRobbie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
McRobbie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McRobbie is trying to escape the mount.
Cole landing punches.
McRobbie manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Cole lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Cole wants to control but McRobbie is keeping him busy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Cole lands a body shot.
Donk. McRobbie catches Cole right on the button with a cross.
McRobbie throws a body punch but Cole moves out of range.
McRobbie misses with the combination.
Cole jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole checks a low kick from McRobbie.
Cole bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cole clinches up against the cage.

Cole tightens his grip and picks McRobbie up, before dumping him to the ground. McRobbie manages to land in guard.
Cole works over McRobbie with some ground and pound from guard.
McRobbie throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
McRobbie wants to sweep but no luck.
McRobbie has momentary wrist control but Cole slips an elbow through the middle.

McRobbie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cole defends well.
Cole lands a couple of elbows.
McRobbie is striking but Cole is not phased and passes to half guard.
Cole working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
McRobbie tries to get to full guard but Cole has control of the leg.
McRobbie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cole scores with a couple of nice shots.

McRobbie has hold of Cole's hands but Cole slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Cole working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
McRobbie misses with some strikes from the bottom.
McRobbie throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McRobbie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cole pulls his head out easily.
McRobbie is trying to get back to full guard.
Cole lands with a punch from half guard.
McRobbie is looking for a sweep. Cole is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Well, if Cole is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Cole wants to take a breather but McRobbie is having none of it.

Cole is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Cole is in the full mount, landing strikes.

McRobbie is looking to improve his position but Cole isn't that keen on the idea.
Cole lands a big elbow.

McRobbie is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Cole! McRobbie is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Michael Cole!
An out of breath and clearly excited Michael Cole thanked Urban Fighter for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
