Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Giles (ranked 6267 p4p, 4701 weight class) and Giuseppe Bombardini (ranked 577 p4p, 460 weight class). Giuseppe Bombardini will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bombardini moves into the clinch.
Giles misses with a hook to the ribs.

Bombardini jumps guard.
Giles stands up over Bombardini, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bombardini really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Giles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Giles postures up in Bombardini's guard and throws a big left but Bombardini blocks it.
Giles stands up over Bombardini, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Giles lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Bombardini pulls Giles in close to his closed guard and prevents Giles from doing any damage or advancing position.
Giles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Giles working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bombardini's head.
Giles is in close to Bombardini's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bombardini is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Giles cracks Bombardini with a solid left hand.
Giles makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Bombardini is rocked!

Giles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Giles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bombardini is still in real trouble! Can Giles finish him?
Giles connects with a couple of short punches.
Giles arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Bombardini's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
