Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rj Bell (ranked 2286 p4p, 2738 weight class) and Billy Kimber (ranked 310 p4p, 358 weight class). Billy Kimber will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rj Bell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Kimber!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimber just misses with a punch to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Bell misses the target.

Bell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kimber rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bell's guard! Nice work there by Kimber!

Bell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kimber defends well.

Bell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kimber defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bell is looking for a triangle but Kimber pushes his legs off easily.

Bell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kimber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've been hearing good reports from Bell's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
