Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Action Bastard (ranked 505 p4p, 2155 weight class) and Caio Bottura (ranked 69 p4p, 221 weight class). Bastard comes into the arena with Japanese And Lovely - Jucifer blaring out of the sound system. Bottura has chosen Face The Pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Action Bastard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 24 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caio Bottura!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bastard jabs at Bottura's body.
We've been informed that Bottura has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bastard lands a right hook to the body.
Bastard throws a jab when Bottura was well out of range.
Bastard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bastard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bottura down.
Bottura tries to improve position but can't.
Bastard takes a little break here. Bottura wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bottura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bastard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bastard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bastard manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Bastard has his foot on Bottura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bottura works his way back into a safe position though.

Bottura drops back looking for a leg! Bastard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bastard manages to kick Bottura off! Bottura jumps back into Bastard's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Action Bastard dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bastard throws a body shot but no joy.
Bastard throws a looping overhand right but Bottura ducks down to avoid it.
Bastard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bottura sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Bastard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bottura did well to prevent Bastard getting side control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bastard connects with a nice short shot to Bottura's temple.

Bottura has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bastard should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bottura has tightened it up now! Bastard should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
