The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alexander with a poor takedown
and Dragonov counters with a straight right hand.
Joshua Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexander misses with a takedown attempt - Dragonov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alexander.

and Dragonov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Alexander thinking.

Dragonov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alexander moves away.

Dragonov circles away from the clinch attempt
and Dragonov counters with a stiff right hand.
Dragonov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Alexander at a distance.
Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Dragonov, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Dragonov against the cage but Dragonov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dragonov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Alexander steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dragonov.
Alexander tries to clinch but Dragonov moves out of range.

and Dragonov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

A jab lands there for Dragonov.
Dragonov connects with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dragonov lands a big right hand that sends Alexander crashing to the mat! Dragonov stays standing though and waves Alexander back to his feet!

Alexander is rocked!
Dragonov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dragonov fakes the body blow, causing Alexander to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Alexander goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
