Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shigatsu Miyamoto (ranked 1382 p4p, 2208 weight class) and Sho Pereyra (ranked 155 p4p, 236 weight class). Miyamoto comes to the cage accompanied by 82.99 FM. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shigatsu Miyamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sho Pereyra!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Miyamoto. Pereyra does a little dance to reset his feet.
Miyamoto fails with the takedown.
Pereyra looks to score with a jab to the body but Miyamoto is just out of range.
Shigatsu Miyamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miyamoto fails with a takedown attempt.

Pereyra decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pereyra takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pereyra blocks the strikes from Miyamoto.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miyamoto is not content to let Pereyra control the position.
Miyamoto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Miyamoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pereyra content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miyamoto trying to control here.
Miyamoto tries to get to full guard but Pereyra has control of the leg.
Pereyra is looking to take a break and control but Miyamoto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Miyamoto wants to improve his position but Pereyra is controlling well.
Miyamoto is not content to let Pereyra control the position.

Pereyra stands up from half guard.

Pereyra feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pereyra distracts Miyamoto with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Miyamoto looking for a guillotine here but Pereyra defends easily.

Miyamoto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pereyra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Miyamoto is tightening it up a little... Pereyra has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pereyra reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pereyra taps out! Nice BJJ there by Miyamoto!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Shigatsu Miyamoto!
A relieved looking Shigatsu Miyamoto thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Sho Pereyra spoke after the fight, saying 'I still have holes in my game. I'm going to work and improve. That's that. '.
