Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wallid Moura (ranked 1034 p4p, 2361 weight class) and Kenichi Misahawa (ranked 150 p4p, 294 weight class). Kenichi Misahawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wallid Moura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Kenichi Misahawa!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moura wants to clinch but Misahawa slips to the side
and Misahawa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Moura looks for a takedown but Misahawa sprawls well.
Misahawa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moura.
Misahawa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Misahawa misses with the combination.
Moura attempts a counter takedown but Misahawa avoids it well and moves away.
Moura tries to clinch but Misahawa moves out of range.
Moura tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Misahawa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moura is defended easily by Misahawa.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moura has hold of one of Misahawa's legs. Misahawa is fighting the takedown attempt but Moura gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Moura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Misahawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Moura lands a couple of elbows.
Moura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Moura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Moura is pushing down on Misahawa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Misahawa is fighting to maintain full guard but Moura has managed to sneak the leg through.
Moura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Misahawa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Misahawa is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Moura scores with a couple of nice shots.

Misahawa is rocked!

Moura is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Misahawa defends it well.
Misahawa is still in real trouble! Can Moura finish him?

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Misahawa won't allow Moura to pass to mount.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Misahawa can do anything to dispel that myth.

Moura shoots in looking for a takedown. Misahawa tries to sprawl out of it but Moura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Misahawa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Moura is in close to Misahawa's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Moura landing with the ground and pound.
Moura tries to free his leg and advance position but Misahawa is retaining full guard.
Misahawa wants to stand and escape but Moura is having none of it.

Moura postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Misahawa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Moura, into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Misahawa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Moura to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Misahawa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Moura pulls down on the head and he's put Misahawa to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wallid Moura!
Wallid Moura gave a mention to Concrete Clothing (Laundry Re Stock Coming Soon) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
