Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doesnt Matter (ranked 6981 p4p, 24017 weight class) and Kris Shumway (ranked 509 p4p, 547 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doesnt Matter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kris Shumway!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shumway lands a nice looking body shot.
Matter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shumway as he avoids it easily.
Matter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A swing and a miss from Shumway.
Kris Shumway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matter walks into a left hand.
Shumway fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Matter is rocked!
Shumway lands with a nice body punch.
Oh Matter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matter moves in looking to clinch but Shumway pushes him off.
Matter has managed to clinch.
Shumway breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matter seems to have got his legs back now.
Matter wants to clinch up but Shumway keeps it at a distance.
Matter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shumway works the jab nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut there from Shumway.
Matter throws a series of punches but Shumway moves out of range.
Shumway throws a shot to the body.
Shumway wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shumway lands a big right hand that sends Matter crashing to the mat! Shumway stays standing though and waves Matter back to his feet!
We've been informed that Shumway has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Shumway swats away the attempt to clinch by Matter.
and Shumway counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Matter! He's just covering up as Shumway starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Shumway!
