Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Mckean (ranked 630 p4p, 761 weight class) and Samuel Pereira Carvalho (ranked 94 p4p, 112 weight class). Samuel Pereira Carvalho told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira Carvalho stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pereira Carvalho wants it to stay on the feet.
Pereira Carvalho scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mckean has his takedown stuffed
and Pereira Carvalho counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mckean takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mckean tries to pull guard but Pereira Carvalho won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Mckean. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mckean jumps guard but Pereira Carvalho stands there with Mckean around his waist. Mckean gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pereira Carvalho looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mckean tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pereira Carvalho smiles and moves away.

Pereira Carvalho cracks Mckean with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pereira Carvalho has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mckean to stand back up!

Mckean is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mckean tries to get into range but Pereira Carvalho steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Mckean! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Pereira Carvalho scores the big KO victory!
