PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heitor Machado (ranked 3778 p4p, 3551 weight class) and Ispa Murhapuro (ranked 126 p4p, 120 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heitor Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Ispa Murhapuro!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murhapuro's guard.

Machado drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Murhapuro dives on top into guard.

I've been told that Murhapuro has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Murhapuro has his foot on Machado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machado works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Heitor Machado will probably get the nod.

Murhapuro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Machado rolls with it to try and escape but Murhapuro cranks on the arm and Machado is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
