Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alice Wonderland (ranked 6567 p4p, 24317 weight class) and Sexy Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sexy Fighter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 2, fighting out of New York, Alice Wonderland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sexy Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Wonderland gets the takedown into side control.

Fighter bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Wonderland shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wonderland not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Wonderland seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fighter wants to control but Wonderland is keeping busy.

Fighter kicks Wonderland off and gets back to his feet.

Fighter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wonderland is trying to defend but Fighter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Wonderland kicks off Fighter and gets to his feet.

Fighter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wonderland to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wonderland controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Wonderland working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wonderland has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fighter is proving hard to escape from.

Wonderland stands and steps away. Fighter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wonderland shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Wonderland wants to stand but Fighter has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Wonderland decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Wonderland closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fighter flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Wonderland missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alice Wonderland will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Wonderland decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fighter is trying to stand.

Wonderland decides to return to a standing position.

Wonderland manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fighter on his heels. He'll look to pass Fighter's guard now, I'm sure.
Wonderland throws a strike but Fighter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wonderland wants to stand up but Fighter is controlling him.

Wonderland is wriggling around but Fighter manages to pass to half guard.
Fighter wants to take a breather but Wonderland is having none of it.
Wonderland is trying to stand up here but Fighter is controlling him well.
Wonderland wants to control but Fighter is keeping busy.
Wonderland trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Wonderland on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wonderland tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wonderland tries to lock up and control but Fighter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wonderland is trying to stand up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter looking to control but Wonderland is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Wonderland is working to get back to half guard.
Wonderland's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Fighter trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Wonderland is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter wants to control the pace but Wonderland is squirming around nicely.
Wonderland wants to hold on but Fighter pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wonderland tries to hold on but Fighter postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sexy Fighter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Fighter closes the distance and clinches up with Wonderland, looking for a takedown. Fighter pushes Wonderland against the cage but Wonderland circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wonderland shoots for a takedown but Fighter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wonderland fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Wonderland blocks it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wonderland looking to score a takedown here. Fighter is defending well but Wonderland drives through and ends up in Fighter's guard.

Fighter kicks Wonderland off and gets to his feet.

Wonderland shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fighter counters with a solid body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alice Wonderland. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fighter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
It appears Wonderland was looking to counter with a kick there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown but Wonderland shows good takedown defense.
Wonderland throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter avoids it.
Fighter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wonderland counters with a shoot takedown. Fighter fights it but they end up in guard.
Wonderland controlling from the top position.

Fighter is working an open guard so Wonderland takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fighter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wonderland counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Wonderland fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fighter is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fighter is trying to stand back up but Wonderland is controlling him

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alice Wonderland.
I think Wonderland has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
