Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Ross (ranked 4849 p4p, 4966 weight class) and Josh Mane (ranked 559 p4p, 568 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mane plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ross takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ross misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And Mane tries to counter it with a takedown but Ross pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Mane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ross tries to avoid it but Mane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ross to the ground. Ross escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ross dives in and grabs Mane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mane pushes down on Ross's head and hops out.

Mane is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ross will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Mane is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ross can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mane cracks Ross with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Mane jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ross manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Mane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ross, who protects the arm well.
Ross tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Josh Mane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Mane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mane wants it to stay on the feet.

Ross tries to clinch but Mane is having none of it.

Mane doesn't manage to clinch there - Ross circles away.
Ross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mane fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ross to the ground. Mane is now in Ross's guard.

Ross scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mane tries a head kick but it misses.
A clash of legs there as Mane blocks the low kick.
Ross shoots in looking for a takedown. Mane tries to sprawl out of it but Ross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Josh Mane seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mane's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Mane duly obliges.

Ross fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mane is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ross sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mane gets control of Ross's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mane will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Mane has his foot on Ross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ross works his way back into a safe position though.

Mane lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
