Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between matheus borges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
borges wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.

Silva clinches up with borges and pushes him back against the cage.
borges is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva gets control of borges's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
borges won't allow Silva to sweep him here.
borges wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Silva controls borges momentarily but borges frees himself.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Silva gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Silva apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Silva pulls guard effortlessly.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
