Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andre Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Hemmingworth and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas feints and then cracks Delgado's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Delgado down.
Douglas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Delgado takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Delgado throws a leg kick but Douglas sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Douglas throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Delgado moves into the clinch.
Douglas lands an uppercut.

Delgado is trying to trip Douglas. He has hold of a leg but Douglas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Delgado persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Douglas is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The referee warns Douglas that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Delgado tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Delgado has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Douglas's face.

Delgado cracks Douglas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Delgado is landing with some decent strikes but Douglas is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
