PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marty Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm has chosen Your Going Down by Sick Puppies as his entrance music. Chance Storm will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marty Block!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chance Storm!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Block closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Block lands in his opponent's guard.

Block avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Storm is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Block might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Block postures up and lands a big shot to Storm's brow.
Storm utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Block is working Storm over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Storm looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Storm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Block doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Block manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Block lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Storm is rocked!
Block is landing with some decent strikes but Storm is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Storm is still in real trouble! Can Block finish him?
Storm is looking to improve his position but Block isn't that keen on the idea.
Storm seems to have recovered his senses.

Block loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Storm scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Block land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Block stands and salutes the crowd.
